About Us
Who are we?
We are a church - that is, we are people of all backgrounds and ages, who have this in common: we want to know God, and we want to make him known. We are an evangelical church - that is, we are committed to the good news (the gospel, or the "evangel") revealed in the Bible: the good news that we can be right with God only on the basis of the life, the death, and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are in Vermont South - that is, we are an independent local church, established in 1979, committed to making known the good news in our community and throughout the world.
What do we do?
We hold public meetings on Sunday mornings. These are worship services, central to which is the reading and teaching of the Bible: we believe that the Bible is, as it claims to be, the Word of God, without error, and our supreme authority in matters of faith and life. This commitment is reflected both in the content and in the simple style of our services.
